A river town in lake country

Watertown is a small Carver County city on the South Fork of the Crow River, at the western edge of the Twin Cities metro, with the Luce Line State Trail running through the area. The township around it took its name from the water within its borders, including the river and lakes such as Oak, Swede, Buck and Rice, and much of the land outside town is still open country.

The city has grown steadily, from about 1,400 people in 1970 to 4,659 at the 2020 census. Its schools are in the Watertown-Mayer district, shared with Mayer, about 5 miles to the south-southwest.

Watertown’s city water comes from groundwater wells, and homes out in the country typically have wells of their own. Groundwater carries dissolved minerals, so when sprinkler spray or hose water dries on a window, it leaves white spots behind. River, lakes and green space

Add screen cleaning and each screen is taken out, scrubbed by hand on both sides, frame too, and returned to its own window.
