Why Maple Grove

A city of lakes that grew up fast

Maple Grove sits in Hennepin County’s northwest suburbs, bordered by Plymouth, Corcoran, Dayton, Champlin, Brooklyn Park and Osseo. It counts 13 named lakes, Fish, Weaver, Eagle and Rice among them, and Three Rivers’ Elm Creek Park Reserve, the largest park in the district at 4,900 acres, fills much of its north end.

Few suburbs have grown like it. Census counts went from 6,275 residents in 1970 to 50,365 in 2000 and 70,253 in 2020, so most of the city’s homes went up in those decades. From our base in Delano, it’s about a half-hour drive.

Hard well water meets sprinkler season

Maple Grove’s city water comes from groundwater. The treatment plant removes iron and manganese, but the water isn’t softened. When that water dries on glass from sprinklers, it leaves white spots that build up over a summer. We can remove those with hard-water stain removal, and our water-fed poles use purified water, so our own rinse doesn’t add any.

Lake-facing glass, a story or two up

Homes near Fish, Weaver and Eagle Lakes tend to put their biggest panes toward the water, often on upper floors. We reach most of that glass from the ground with water-fed poles, so the view dries clear, and the odd window tucked under a roofline or above a walkout gets a ladder.

Windows that have seen a few decades

With so much of Maple Grove built between the 1970s and 2000s, plenty of windows have been opening and closing for 20 to 50 years. That packs grit into the tracks and turns screens gray. Our track detailing cleans out the channels, and if you add screen cleaning, we remove each screen, wash both sides and the frame by hand, and return it to its own window.

Questions

Maple Grove window cleaning FAQs

How often do you recommend cleaning windows in Maple Grove?
We suggest four cleanings a year for Maple Grove homes, so pollen in spring and sprinkler spots in summer never pile up. If that’s more than you need, twice a year works: once in late spring and again in early fall.
Do you work all over Maple Grove, or only near the lakes?
All over. Most Maple Grove homes aren’t on the water, and they’re in our service area just like the houses on Fish, Weaver or Eagle Lake. Inside or out, one story or three, we’ll quote whatever glass you’d like cleaned.
White spots keep showing up where my sprinklers hit the windows. What can you do?
Those spots are minerals left behind when sprinkler water dries on glass, and Maple Grove’s city water isn’t softened. Once they build up, they need hard-water stain removal, which we quote on its own after seeing the glass. Our regular cleanings won’t add more, since the water in our poles is purified, and keeping the spray off the windows stops new spots from forming.
How is a Maple Grove quote priced?
Free, and you’re never obligated to book. Call (763) 314-3400 or use the quote form. We price by the size of the home, the number of windows and how easy they are to reach, and you’ll know the full price up front, before any work begins.
